Mark Murphy - Founder / CEO

"Growing up beside Naas Racecourse, a lot of my spare time was spent attending races, studying the form/breeding and always looking to increase my knowledge in this fascinating sport.

Racehorse ownership was always on the cards for me , from as young as I could remember"

Mark Daniel Murphy is an entrepreneur from Naas, Co.Kildare. Since his early 20’s, he has dedicated his time to helping business owners across Ireland run their businesses more efficiently.

Networking and connecting with many leaders in business across Ireland, for the last decade has been an important learning curve. Maintaining a positive and transparent relationship with business partners is essential to the lifespan of any successful business.

My ambition for Mark Daniel Racing is to source the very best young thoroughbreds and share the ownership opportunity with all.

Ger Lyons - Trainer

Since the mid-2000s, Ger has concentrated on the Flat and the winners have continued to flow. The likes of Elletelle, Lightening Pearl, Cappella Sansevero, Ainippe and Bear Cheek have all given him a number of Group race success and Ger is firmly established as one of the leading trainers in the country.

Ger was the driving force behind Colin Keane's remarkably successful 2017 season that saw him crowned champion jockey. The pair shared their first Group 1 success together when Siskin won the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh in August 2019.

Diego Dias - Trainer

One of Ireland up-and-coming training talents, in only his first season since taking out a licence, Diego had a runner the the Group 1 Phoenix stakes, the admirably tough filly Gaenari finishing a respectable fifth.

Diego oversees his string at the edge of the Curragh and is present at all the major sales to share his opinion on future racing prospects. An exciting time to be involved with a hugely talented trainer from the get go.
